Myomas growths are begin on the uterus wall. These muscular noncancerous tumors can grow a single form or clusters and cause extreme pain and bleeding. Uterine fibroid is a growth that develops in the uterus muscular wall; are cells that grow in any different location, are benign smooth muscle tumors of the uterus. Most women have no symptoms, while others have. They may also be called myoma, leiomyoma, or simply fibroid. There is a high incidence of 40-50% in women, appear after the 35 years, or rare cases early.

In the black race most prevale.  There are three types:  beneath the uterus surface of the uterus,  in the myometrium (totally within the uterus wall), or submucous (inside the uterus.

What can cause Myomas or Uterine fibroids

The exact cause of uterine fibroids is unclear. However, fibroids run in families and appear to be partly determined by hormone levels. Risk factors include obesity and eating red meat. Diagnosis can be performed by pelvic examination or medical imaging.

Several known risk factors increase your chances of developing a fibroid tumor. However, these tumors are common, and you can grow hone without any risk factors, and you also might not develop one even if you have risk factors.2

Common risk factors include:
 
  • Obesity
  • Nulliparity: Women who have not had children are at a higher risk
  • Race: fibroids are more common and develop at an earlier age among African American women
  • Advancing age
  • Personal history of fibroids
  • Family history of fibroids
  • Estrogen
 

Fibroid tumors can occur any time after a woman starts menstruating, which is when a women starts menstruating when the body begins producing estrogen, a female hormone. These estrogen-dependent tumors develop and grow in response to the hormone.

How do you detect Myomas or Uterine Fibroid?

In some women, the Myomas or Uterine Fibroids keep small and do not produce symptoms. It can cause serious troubles due to its size and the amount, size, and location. Only about one-third of these fibroids are large enough to be detected by physicians during a physical examination, and many do not require treatment.

The uterine fibroid can range in size from as small as a grape (-1 inch) or large like a melon. Early detection are made with additional tools; founding changes in the hormonal check-up,  physical check-up, ultrasound, hysteroscopy, hysterosalpingography or laparoscopic.

Symptoms of uterine fibroid

A woman can have one uterine fibroid or many. Occasionally, fibroids may make it difficult to become pregnant, although this is uncommon, but most  probabilities are miomas submucosos

It might also be considered if the fibroid is causing serious complications, especially with the baby’s vitality, in cases when existing pregnancy.  Sometimes after giving birth a baby, the fibroid disappears for the expose of hormonal influence.

Diagnosis.
